Test your site!
Test your site for free!
It doesn't cost anything to occasionally test your site, to find out if it has problems or even to avoid the unpleasant surprises that will come up.
When we talk about an online store, there are many things you may not have considered: Google's penalties (one of the worst things that can happen, especially if "SEO" services have been contracted from dubious sources); the speed of the site may drop drastically (modules and extensions as well as PrestaShop versions that no longer meet the technology standards); and other problems that you may have not even thought of. You must always be careful and aware of these things in order to be able to act as quickly and efficiently as possible.Test your site!
Why is it important to run a test?
This test will show how "healthy" and well-built your site is. Ideally, an audit should be performed periodically to keep the store under observation and avoid the risk of disappearing from search engine results.
If you disappear from Google then you will lose most visitors, which will inevitably lead to lower sales or even the disappearance of any profit.
Under no circumstances should you wait until you notice a drop in visitors and sales because at that point it might be too late. You must prevent these situations from becoming unpleasant and this can only be done by periodic testing. This is the way to find out where and what is wrong on your site.
Many people believe that once a site has been created and launched, it will work in optimal parameters to for the rest of time. But it's not like that. There are external factors such as changing search engine algorithms that will influence the site's performance and evolution.
To external factors, we also have to add human factors. Many problems arise because of the lack of knowledge of the staff with access to the back office. They often install plugins or modules that are not 100% compatible or have bugs and in more serious cases, change PrestaShop settings. Without knowing exactly all these actions, they can do more harm than good. Most often the result is the site's fall in Google rankings or inappropriate performance. For these reasons, we believe that a site test is needed as often as possible.
We cannot emphasize enough how important it is to test your site! You can compare this with going to the dentist. If you go to regular checks you can prevent big and expensive problems. This is exactly the case with websites. If you perform regular tests you have a better chance of keeping the online store healthy and preventing any serious problems. Let's not forget that it's a lot cheaper to make small and regular repairs on the site than to do large, long-term repairs after the problem has become critical.
